Iwakijima Island in Kamijima-cho, Ehime Prefecture, is decorated with as many as 4,000 cherry trees, and is also called “Tennyo no Hagoromo” (the angel's robe of feathers) for the sight of the cherry trees reflected on Mt. The only way to reach the island is by ferry, but many visitors come from Hiroshima, Matsuyama, and other cities, and locals also enjoy the cherry blossoms scattered here and there in their own ways.
