Osman Bey escapes execution at the last moment, but the Kayı tribe faces a life-or-death struggle due to the Mongol-Byzantine alliance and Ilbay's betrayal. Ulugan announces Ilbay Bey as the new lord of the Kayıs, leaving Osman Bey enraged and vowing revenge. Ulugan decides to execute Osman Bey in front of the Kayı tribe but changes his mind and takes him on a dangerous journey instead. Osman Bey escapes with Poena, who reminds him of Halime. Bala Hatun, Orhan, and Alaeddin plan to save Osman Bey but fall into a trap set by Sofia, Lucas, and the nokers. Osman Bey, Bala Hatun, and Poena are trapped on the edge of a cliff, where Poena takes a big hit during their fight with Lucas and the nokers.
